SIP Workshop

FROM THE PHONE TO THE PROVIDER

TELEPHONE IN 3 STEPS

The workshop deals with the SIP protocol in three modules.

BASICS

As part of the SIP workshop, the basics of RFC3261 (SIP) are first taught. The protocol is discussed step by step with relevant extensions and options. The aim is to understand the log and to be able to recognize where errors occur and how they can be eliminated.

TELEPHONE BETWEEN TELEPHONES

In the second part, an environment is set up within which calls can be made and the SIP messages can be inspected on the life system. The SIP messages are analyzed and discussed in detail.

TELEPHONE TO THE PROVIDER

The third part deals with the connection to a VoIP provider. For this purpose, a trunk is set up between an SBC (Session Border Controller) and the provider. It is a laboratory with an official office. So this is not a typical closed laboratory environment. Instead, real problems arise. If available, your service provider can also be connected. This has to be clarified on a case-by-case basis.
